ENTROPIES

Entropies are a four-piece band formed of vocals and keys (Sheida Kiran), violin, guitar (Sophie Sanford), cello (Emilia Pearce), and percussion (Fran Lombardelli). They take inspiration from film scores, and describe their music as a fusion of genres, from indie-folk, to cinematic and neo-classical. Their style is influenced by artists such as Portishead, Hooverphonic, Zero 7, London Grammar, Florence + The Machine, Billie Marten and Hozier. Entropies released their second single, ‘Blue Ghost’ in 2021, which was recorded at Dean Street Studios, and featured on BBC Music Introducing and Radio X’s ‘X-Posure’ show with John Kennedy. Entropies gig regularly in London, in venues such as The Spice of Life Soho, Roadtrip & The Workshop, and with Sofar Sounds, with whom they played in a gig at Madame Tussauds, Baker Street. Entropies’ third single, ‘Murmurations’ was released in 2022, and their fourth, 'The Run' is expected later this year. Most recently, Entropies' music featured in the BBC documentary 'Harvesting Turkey's Tea'.
